How to get a toned body
A toned body is a healthy body. It is defined as a body with as little fat as possible. It is a well sculpted body that most people would want to have. How much more attractive it is to have muscles instead of flab. When you tone your body, you are simply replacing fat with muscle. To attain a nicely toned body, you have to get your body fat percentage down to a certain level. The right body fat is around 10% for men and about 15% for women.
Exercise regularly. In fact this is a golden rule. The best way to get a toned body is to combine losing fat with building muscle. So be efficient and do both at once. Combine cardio with muscle building by including squats and weights into your cardio workout. Set aside 30 to 60 minutes for cardio and 30 minutes for strength training. The cardio will burn calories immediately and the strength training will increase your muscle mass and improve your muscle tone.
Maintain a healthy diet by eating more protein and less fat and sugar. A diet that is high in fats is unhealthy and is the main enemy of a toned body, so make sure that you are eating lots of fruits and vegetables, fish and meat. You can build muscle tone like crazy, but if it's covered in fat, it'll be impossible to see how you've firmed up.
Drink water as much as possible, not only to tone body, but to keep the kidneys and digestive system working properly.
Cut out alcohol in your diet. A diet high in alcohol leads to weight gain and is an obstacle to the toned body that you wish to achieve.
Tone: To have some amount of muscle on your body AND then have a low enough body fat percentage so that this muscle can actually be seen.
The more muscle you have and the less fat you have covering it, the more “toned” and “defined” and “ripped” and “cut” you will appear to be. The more fat covering your muscle, the less visible it will be and the less “toned” you will appear.
